Daddy loves the drive-in! And, he loves it even more when he can drive the '55 Chevy there. He has been asking for the past 3 years if we can go to the drive-in and every year, I always ask him if he is completely nuts?!?! We can't take CHASE to the drive-in! The kid never sits still for a minute!
However, this year, we finally decided to bite the bullet and try him out. Shrek IV: Happily Ever After was playing. It was a holiday weekend! And, after all, he's 3 now, right? He should sit still and watch a movie...as long as you keep enough food in front of him, right? In theory.
The reality is that he never sat still for a minute. Of course, we weren't stupid enough to actually let him out of the car...or who knows where he would have ended up! Instead, we spent the entire 2 hours of the movie with him squirming and climbing all over us. He could have cared less about the movie! (Unlike Cole who used to watch the movie quietly from his car seat and fall asleep by 9:30pm!) And, poor Cole who really WAS interested in the movie, was so tired, he kept asking to go home! But, he did manage to make it through the entire movie...even being as tired as he was!
We left after the credits rolled and both boys were asleep before we even made it out of the parking lot! And, Mom and Dad vowed that it would be at least another year before we tried that again! :)
