Daddy's Co-Worker

Today was yet ANOTHER snow day around here! And, Daddy decided to let a bored little boy join him at work today rather than stay home and fight with his little brother all day long! (And, Mommy was so grateful!)

Turns out, Cole is a real helper around Daddy's work! Not only did he stay entertained with the toys he brought from home, he also helped others organize their offices, and put together files for them! (One even commented that he can put together a file better than some of the interns they've had around there!!)

Cole set up with his laptop!

Such concentration!

Daddy and Cole!

Hangin' out!

Sledding with Daddy

This winter, we've had LOTS of snow days. Too many. WAAAY too many...

The only good thing about all this snow is sledding!!! So, after work one evening, Mommy and Daddy decided to take the boys sledding! Well...truthfully, it was really Daddy who thought up this idea because Mommy spent most of the sledding time sitting in car and out of the below-freezing temperatures! (Yeah...I'm a warm weather kinda girl...)

Unfortunately, not too many pics were taken! Chase loved sledding, but Cole much preferred running down the hill and walking around in the tire tracks! Sledding turned out to be not really his thing.

Here's a video of Chase's first trip down the hill by himself! His screams sound like he is terrified! But, he loved every minute of it!

Boat Show!

Daddy won some tickets to the Boat Show this weekend! It was a no-brainer that the boys needed to go see some boats, fishing gear, and Spongebob!!! So, Daddy, PaPa, and the boys headed downtown this morning. (And, yes...Mommy DID enjoy a few hours of peaceful bliss....at home....all alone. Aaaahhhh...)

Cole trying out a boat!

Chase in a canoe!

Chase meeting Spongebob! (Cole was a bit scared and wouldn't go near him!!)

Picking out fishing poles with PaPa.

Fishing with PaPa!

The boys didn't catch any fish. But, Cole caught a plastic duck! Ha ha!

The Menu

Lately, the boys have been playing Restaurant in the evenings while I fix dinner. They gather up all the throw pillows from the couches, which become anything from trays to carry food to dishes that get washed in the "sink". (The "sink" is really just the space between the coffee table and couch. But heck, with plates the size of home plate, its no wonder they have to make-up a giant sink to wash them in!)

Last night, Daddy got home from work just a tad early. Just early enough to be served a few items from the boys' restaurant while Mommy was finishing up dinner. Turns out, Daddy went "out to eat" on a good night, as the boys were pretending their restaurant was The Crusty Crab from Spongebob Squarepants.

And from the boy who, just a few short months ago, absolutely HATED to write and refused to make a single letter he didn't absolutely have to, came the menu for the Krusty Krab...

Mrs. Pickett noted that Cole has a little trouble staying on task when the work doesn't interest him. However, I'm not sure that there is much we can do about that at this point, and he has certainly come a LONG way since Kindergarten!!!
