Mr. GQ

We've been on Christmas break for many days now, but we haven't ventured out of the house much.  School was out on December 20, but with Christmas just a few days away, we had spent much of that time at home getting ready for the holidays.

For a couple of days after Christmas, we didn't go anywhere either.  It was cold.  There were new toys to be played with.

But today, we ventured out of the house.  A trip to Target was in order!

Apparently, Cole felt the need to get all dressed up for the occasion!  I tried to talk him out of wearing all his new dress clothes, but he wouldn't hear it it.  So, away we went.

I'm sure there will come a day when I can't make him put on nice clothes, so I guess I should enjoy it while he is willing!  I'm pretty sure he was the best dressed person there!

Happy New Year!

NaNa and PaPa invited the boys over to their house for a little New Year's Eve celebration!  And, being that this was the first New Year's party the boys have ever attended, they were pretty darn excited about it!

I'm not sure if they were more excited about the snacks and sparkling grape juice they were going to munch on all evening.  Or, if it was the fact they could "stay up until tomorrow!!!"  :)  Either way, they were excited little boys!  They spent the eating NaNa and PaPa out of house and home, all the while playing rousing board games!  (Who knew Tiddly Winks was so fun?!?)

The weather had taken a turn for the worse as we dropped them off for the party, pretty much cancelling any chance Mommy and Daddy had to actually go out!  We made it a couple of miles up the road before the snow and ice forced us to turn around and head back to town.

But, we still managed to make it out to our little local Mexican restaurant and have dinner and margaritas.  (Well...at least Mommy had margaritas!)   The rest of the night was a quiet one at our house. We were in bed fast asleep by midnight.

And, the boys?  Well, their plan to "stay up until tomorrow" didn't quite happen.  Cole crashed long before the ball dropped.  NaNa woke him, walked the sleeping boy out the living room to see the countdown, and then he went straight back to bed.  (He doesn't even remember it happening!)

Chase, the little party animal, did stay up to see the ball drop!  (Oh...did I mention that they actually watched it in the Eastern time zone???  Yeah...good thing he wasn't paying attention to the actual time on the clock.  Ha!!!)

All in all, the boys had a great time!  Can we come back next year, NaNa and PaPa?!?!?
