Cole went on his very first field trip with his class from school today. They went to Faulkner's Pumpkin Patch and spent the morning in a corn maze, a petting zoo, and taking a hay ride! To top off the trip, each child got to pick out their very own pumpkin to take home. When Daddy and Mommy got to school to pick up Cole, we saw all the pumpkins lined up in the cubbies ready to go home. They all looked about the same....small, round, and perfectly smooth for carving. Not Cole's pumpkin. He picked this one. I think it might just win an award for the world's ugliest pumpkin. Only Cole...

It's like the Halloween version of Charlie Brown's Christmas tree. Only I don't think lots of lights, tinsel, and Schroeder playing the piano will help it as much...
