One Valentine's Day, probably about the time Cole turned 18 months old or so, he received a teddy bear. At first, he didn't really want anything to do with it. After all, it was just a stuffed fuzzy bear with a heart for a nose. Nothing too exciting. However, some time after that, he became more and more interested in this bear. Cole named him "Teddy" and began sleeping with Teddy tucked under this arm every night.
Even as a Kindergartner, we still have to search each night to find Teddy before he can go to sleep. Sometimes Teddy will have fallen onto the floor, or under the bed. And, sometimes Chase has stolen Teddy from Cole's room! We have found poor Teddy stuffed into the toy box, hidden in the closet, you name it. But, Teddy remains a pretty good pal for Cole....especially at bedtime.
So, when the Primary School had a teddy bear parade, there was no question who Cole would take to school! We tied some string onto a toy John Deere hay wagon that Cole used for his float. And, Teddy fit perfectly inside!
When he came home from school today with Teddy and the hay wagon stuffed into his backpack, I also found this inside....
