Coleville

Cole's class has been working hard for about 3 weeks now on a town designing project.  Based on each child's behavior each day, they are given a certain amount of money (pretend, of course).  As the money accumulates, the student can then buy certain items for the town...buildings, street signs, trees, etc.  The idea is to then design a functional town, on paper, using the funds available to them.

Cole LOVED this project.  He came home from school talking about it daily.  As they had time in class (either designated time, or free time as they had it), they could pull out their drawing and work on it some more.

The 3rd grade teachers were so thrilled at how well the students did on this project, they decided to put all of the designs up in the gym so that parents could come see the hard work.

Afterward, the 3rd grade performed at the Jump Rope Club's show.  Most of the show featured the Jump Rope Club doing lots of fancy tricks.  But, the 3rd Graders also showed off their dance skills!  The very last dance required 1 parent of each child to come out and be involved in a square dance!  (Of course, he picked Mom.....and thankfully there are no pics of that!!!)

Cole is the first red shirt, next to the turquoise.  Watchng the jump roping!
