Cole dodged the bullet (temporarily, at least!) last week. He ended up sick a few days before the surgery and we had to postpone it. New surgery date: April 8.
Mommy and Daddy had cleared our calendars for the week anticipating surgery. So, with nothing planned for Valentine's Day weekend, we opted to hop in the car make to the drive to Nevada, Mo. to visit their Great-Grandma. The boys took Valentines and pink cupcakes to her. And, she was happy to see them since it had been well over a year since we last visited.
All in all, it was a good visit (even through the long car ride, the 2-hour restaurant experience, and a house chock-full of "no-no's" (i.e. tons of porcelein figurines). Thankfully the only casulty was just a leaf or two off a houseplant!
