More trouble for Chase

Today was not such a good day at school for Mr. Chase.  Oooh...it started off OK, and actually, he was having a grand ol' time!  ...Especially at lunch when he and another little boy decided to go around the cafeteria acting like they were peeing on the other children!  *sigh*

Yes, that's the phone call Daddy got today.  Right in the middle of eating lunch with his co-workers.

Apparently, the boys were given a talking to by one of the cafeteria ladies.  When that didn't phase Chase at all, he was turned over to Mrs. Ullah.  She also gave him a stern talking to and took away his recess.  When that didn't get his attention (because apparently he was still pretty smug and proud of himself at that point), he was sent to the Principal's office.  (And, trust me, when Cole heard that Chase had been sent to the Principal's office, he was astounded! He had to remind us that he had been in school 4+ years and had never, ever been sent to the Principal's office!  And, here Chase has only been in school for a few weeks....)

Unfortunately, the principal was out of the building for a meeting at the time Chase was sent down there, so the school secretary chewed on him instead.  When this still didn't phase the boy, the final straw was the phone call Chase had to make to his parents.  And, that did it.  The minute he heard Daddy's voice, he started to cry.  He knew he was in big trouble.

He just didn't realize how much trouble he was in.  When Mommy heard the news, that was the last straw....

This is what Chase came home from school to find.

His entire room had been packed up and carted downstairs to the basement.  Everything.

The only things remaining were a few empty shelves, a bed and a lamp. And, Chase was sent to "kid jail."  From the minute he came home from school until bedtime (with the exception of dinner), he spent the entire time in his room.  With nothing to do.

And, not once did he even try to come out of his room. I think he knew Mommy was not playing games.  This was serious.

A few times I did go upstairs and peek in on him.  Poor kid had managed to find an old Spiderman Halloween costume in his dresser and an extra blanket.  He was lying on his back playing with the blanket and wearing the Spiderman costume.  Now, that's desperate.  How he entertained himself for hours with those 2 items, I'll never know.  But, he knew better than to even ask about coming out of his room.

Next up..... earning back one toy each day for good behavior at school.   I so hope he can do it.  If not, I'm in trouble because I'm really out of tricks up my sleeve!

He just doesn't know that...yet.
