Cole was rather grouchy this evening and wouldn't let us take any pictures of him tonight. So, Daddy had to be sneaky to get this one! But, we were so proud of him for earning is "V" patch for his karate uniform!!!
In order to earn this patch, a child must receive 25 stars on his uniform. And, stars are earned by bringing notes to class when a child has done something on their own and without be told, by being compassionate, by doing good deeds, etc. It took Cole about 1-1/2 years to finally earn this patch! (Oh...and did I mention that these pesky little stars sometimes fall off in the washing machine, even if they are superglued on?!? So, he really probably earned this awhile back, but we just didn't have the proof on the uniform!)
Anyway, you can't really make out much of the patch in this picture. But, trust me...it was a long time coming! Way to go, Cole!
